There’s nothing like relaxing in your own house, going out to the backyard and hanging out next to a super crystalline pool... on some sun loungers ....

One of the great advantages of living in a house with a pool in Aventura Isles is to be able to enjoy a private pool and to share it with your family and friends, organize a BBQ and have an amazing day. Some people have doubts about the swimming pools costs and maintenance.

Pool Care Tips

Continuous maintenance is recommended once a week to maintain the pool in chemically optimal conditions. There are many factors that can affect the pool's condition, some are controllable and others are not.

Controllable factors are:

  • weekly maintenance
  • filter cleaning
  • pool vacuuming
  • tiles cleaning
  • etc.

But there are also unpredictable and uncontrollable factors that can affect the pool maintenance. Those include environmental factors like rain, drought, breeze, heat, humidity, among others.

It is important to maintain optimum and healthy conditions for the swimming pool water, through CIRCULATION and FILTERING.

  • Circulation is the movement of water through the skimmer and the main drain going through the pool pump and then through the filter until returning back to the pool. It is necessary to circulate the swimming pool water for 4 to 6 hours per day during autumn-winter times and from 8 to 12 hours in the hot seasons especially in the summer.
  • It is important to change the pool filter at least once a year, in order to achieve better filtering and operation as a whole, like with the pool equipment. We could say that the filter is something like the pool lungs with which it breathes. If it is in good condition it  breathes or circulates perfectly, otherwise it blocks the system and  overworks the engine that is like the pool’s heart in a forced and slow way being able to cause damage to it and at the same time it increases the chances of spreading kelp in the pool.

It is important to note that around this time of year when rainfall is scarce and humidity is lower the pool water level tends to fall considerably so many people believe they have a leak, but in most cases it is just evaporation, so it is recommended to add water to the pool preferably the day before or the same day the pool maintenance is performed. This way the untreated water added to the pool gets chemically balanced when the maintenance is done.

Pools with salt chlorinators must circulate 8 hours daily, this way they can generate the necessary chlorine to satisfy the pool demands.

Bora Bora Pool Services also offers all kinds of repairs, renovations and equipment necessary for your pool's best operation and enjoyment.
